Douglas College lecture looks at life in the asylum

Join Conway Davies, a professor at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, as he examines how disruptive behaviour was contained in Wales during the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Using patient case notes, Conway will explore life in an asylum and the way ordinary people understood and experienced mental illness, its diagnosis and treatment.
