Douglas College talk to cover dangers of genetically modified crops


The danger of using genetically modified crops in agriculture is the focus of an upcoming public talk at Douglas College.

Thierry Vrain, a former federal research scientist, will deliver the second talk as part of the College's new Students’ Choice Speaker Series. Vrain was selected by students in the Faculty of Science and Technology.

The free talk, titled "The Gene Revolution: The Future of Agriculture," takes place on Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 12:30-2pm in the Laura C. Muir Performing Arts Theatre on Douglas College's New Westminster campus.
