Represent your fellow students on Education Council!

Would you like to get involved in the governance process at Douglas and represent your fellow students on Education Council? Or maybe you know someone who would be a good representative.

Douglas is calling for nominations for a by-election that will take place to fill one student position on Education Council at the New Westminster Campus. The term for the position ends Aug. 31, 2013.

What is the Education Council?
The Education Council is charged with setting the curriculum and academic standards of Douglas College; essentially the programs and courses we offer. It is an important governance body that play a key role in shaping the direction and policy of Douglas.

How and when do I apply?

The Registrar is accepting nominations until Jan. 23, 4pm, so be sure to get your name in ASAP.

How are the students selected?
After the nominations are received, all students will be asked to vote online to elect their Council representative. If you have any questions, contact the Registrar’s Office at 604 527 5321.
