Celebrate International Day at Douglas Jan. 29 and 31

Want to see the world without ever stepping off campus? Then get ready to experience International Day Jan. 29 (New West) and Jan. 31 (Coquitlam), 10-4pm!

See performances of Bhangra dance, the Chinese lion dance, djembe drumming and others. Taste coffees and teas from around the world and visit booths representing different cultures of Douglas students. Learn more about France, Iran, Kazakhstan, Brazil and other countries.

The theme for International Day 2013 is Around the World in 80 Steps, which highlights the opportunity for us to celebrate, share and learn more about many of the world’s cultures without even hopping on a plane. This International Day, we challenge you to take that first step, and embark on your own journey around the world by engaging with the wealth of cultures we have right here in our community.

Want to see your culture represented at International Day? Want to volunteer? Get this info and more at Douglife
