Show your art at Douglas College exhibit

My Heart Takes Flight by Glenda Leznoff, painter and Creative Writing instructor at Douglas College.
The Amelia Douglas Gallery invites you to take part in A Big To-DO: A Celebration of Art at Douglas College. This special group exhibit will showcase the vast and varied artistic talents of Douglas College students, staff and faculty. This diverse and collaborative show will run from Aug. 9–Sept. 14 and close with a public reception Sept. 13.

The exhibit will also be a destination along the New Westminster Culture Crawl the weekend of Aug 11-12. This annual festival plays host to events throughout the city, encouraging visitors to take a self-guided tour of the art spots around New West.

The gallery encourages submissions from all Douglas College members who make art or crafts. This call is open to artists working in all mediums (including, but not limited to, painting, sculpting, photography, quilting and jewellery-making) and at all levels of expertise. Please see below for submission guidelines.

If you are not a an artist but are keen to celebrate the artistic talents of your colleagues and students, then please join us on Facebook  as we lead up to the opening by introducing the artists chosen for the show and their diverse roles within the Douglas community. Please share this with anyone who might be interested, and encourage the artists in our midst to join the exhibit.

We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate art at Douglas College!
