Women's Centre hosts shoe sale for a cause March 6 + 8

Ladies: Do you have some gently used footwear burning a hole in your closet?

In celebration of International Women’s Day (March 8), the Douglas College Women's Centre is hosting Walk a Mile in a Woman’s Shoes, a sale of gently used footwear at both campuses - and is looking for donations.

Drop off your platforms, stilettos, ballerina flats, mary janes, slingbacks, ankle boots or whatever you've got by March 3 at the Coquitlam Campus, room A130, or the New West Campus, room 2850.

And don't forget to come to the sale! Prices start at a mere $2 a pair.

Coquitlam Campus, atrium
Tuesday, March 6, 10am-3pm

New West Campus, concourse
Thursday, March 8, 10am-3pm

Proceeds will go toward bursaries to support women in their studies. Any leftover shoes will be donated to women's shelters.

About the Douglas College Women's Centre

The Women’s Centre provides services and resources at both campuses for the women who attend Douglas College. The centre offers a library of resources, student assistants who act as peer counsellors and a place to connect with outside women’s centres in the Lower Mainland. At the Coquitlam centre, an over-30s group meets every Tuesday afternoon.
