BloodBattle 2011 a fight to the finish

BloodBattle 2011 took centre stage at the New Westminster campus on Thursday. Nearly 50 people came to donate, an outstanding turnout for Canadian Blood Services, with one competitor reigning supreme after the battle.

Eric Glanville (above left) defeated Kyle Baillie 12-8 in this year’s battle, but like the Brooklyn Dodgers used to say, there’s always next year. The fallout from Kyle’s loss is yet to be determined.

Thank-you to everyone who came to donate, and a reminder, the Bloodmobile is at Douglas College every two months, so keep coming back to donate blood. You could save a life, and in addition to the satisfaction of helping others, you'll get a free cookie.
